2-2-22 Soleil - sick community cat
Animal Rescue Connection, Inc. Happy Caturday, friends! I posted about Soleil back in November and December. He was a feral colony cat in the city that was fed for about a year by a wonderful lady. Once she started seeing that his eyes and his mouth were not looking good, she trapped him and brought him home. I was contacted by another trapper asking for help with vetting him.
He was vetted and had one eye removed and a few extractions. Unfortunately, he is still drooling excessively and he needs a second opinion on his mouth. Because he's feral, it makes vetting a little more complicated. He will need to be dropped off in the morning and the vet will sedate and exam him. The cost of just that is estimated at $150. I'm assuming they will need to take x-rays if it's not something visible like mouth ulcers so it will be more like $500. I have taken in a lot of medical babies lately and although this guy is not in my care, I believe it paying it forward with colony caretakers and other rescuers, the same way other rescues have extended their hands to me. I always try to help when I can. That being said, Soleil could use some donations to get him back on track. Please donate if you're able to and thank you so much!

2-3-22 Sam & Charlie - two kitties need help
Jamie Wheeler: Just got back from vet. Took in these 2 senior kitties. Sad story - Elderly man & the 2 cats were in starved condition. All that was in the house was a half loaf of molded bread & a can of Spam. The man is being taken care of & I have took the kitties to the vet. Both cats have tumors in each ear. So much inflammation that they will have to be on meds for 10 days before surgery is even possible. The grey cat only weighs 5 lbs. His ear is badly abscessed. Donations desperately needed to help these boys! I've named them Sam & Charlie for now as I was not given their names. The man was more worried about the cats than himself. Sad situation! Charlie's ear was drained. They gave them each an antibiotic shot & steroid shot plus Revolution for mites. If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.

2-4-22 HUGE Stray cat colony needs food
Furry Friends Network is asking for donations.
Two months ago we were asked to step in and help an extremely large colony of cats. Their caretaker had passed away in October and since then they have been crying at doors in search of food. They were becoming destructive because they are just trying to survive. It is a heartbreaking situation to see. What is unique about this colony of cats is the immense number of extremely friendly cats that have been abandoned and forced to live outside and fend for themselves. There are feral ones as well that we are working on TNR with the hope to prevent more babies adding to the problem. In total there are approximately 75 cats ranging from super sweet to very feral. It will take time, but we have committed to doing what is right for each and every one of these cats.
This has become a HUGE financial undertaking for our rescue. In the last seven weeks we have pulled in 11 truly amazing cats who are or will soon be ready for adoption. Four of whom have needed major dental surgery due to very poor nutrition and horrible living conditions. There are many more who we want to help, but the costs are adding up quickly. We are humbly asking for your financial support, so we can continue to work towards our goal of righting all the wrongs that have been dealt to these amazing animals. When you see our adoptables come across your feed, please share them. Each and every one of them deserves the utmost best that life has to offer. Thank you, from the bottom of THEIR hearts and ours, for all your support!

2-8-22 Strawberry - kitty needs leg amputation
Hi my name is Maranda. I work as a Kennel Tech. This beautiful 2 year old male cat came in hurt. The person who brought him in couldn't afford treatment. Instead of him being put to sleep I stepped up and asked for time to save his life. He has a broken rear leg and it need to be amputated. He is not up to date on vaccines and the owner signed him over so I could have a chance to save him. Help. Please help. Right now he is at Oakhill Animal Hospital I do have a rescue willing to take him in but I have to come up with the money. The person who brought him in says he was a stray she had been feeding and taking care of. She did not know how he was injured, but by the x-ray and his injuries we believe he fell from a roof or a tall tree. He is very loving. I have more photos to share. And he needs a loving home after his care. Right now I am his saving voice and I need help to make sure he gets care.

2-8-22 Cat colony in need of food
Hello I am in desperate need of help and fast. I broke my ankle to the point were I won't be walking for 3-6 months and I need multiple surgeries. I am contacting everyone I can to hopefully get through the next few months. I am not only completely unable to care for these animals physically but I am also without a job and going to be unable to supply food and other basic needs very soon. I do TNR work and transport last year I took 50+ cats to new England and the east coast but this year I won't be driving or walking or able to do anything. But that doesn't mean I can give up on the cats I already have. Please save us. I love these cats. My elderly mother is helping me feed them while I am laid up but cannot afford food and hoping to find some homes

1-10-21 Lucky - blocked kitty
Friend John Seger rushed Lucky, his beautiful black house panther to the vet an hour ago. He isn't eating, or drinking or using the litter box and is hiding, not sure if a blockage?
Poor John has no money for such costs and needs our help. Tammy Lawrence and I have zelled him $$ but he needs to cover costs for his care when they are reported to him.
He was turned away from Justin Bartlett Vert and is going for testing and care from Dr. Maria Lowry Chasewood at Chasewood Animal Hospital Jupiter now. **UPDATE** DONATIONS NEEDED! Ashley called from Chasewood and he has a 100% blockage. He will be tested, and kept overnight and I will report what treatment will be needed and costs as soon as Dr. Maria determines the cause. **UPDATE** i AM AT A LOSS FOR WORDS OR GRATITIDE AS TO THE AMOUNT OF DONATIONS THAT WERE MADE TO LUCKY'S VET BILL. HE HAS A BLOCKAGE AND INFECTION WHICH WAS CAUSING HIS BLADDER TO SWELL. DR. MARIA OFFICE SAID HE WOULDN'T HAVE MADE IT ANOTHER TWO HOURS. HE HAS A CATHETER TO DRAIN HIS BLADDER AND HIS INFECTION IS BEING TREATED WITH ANTIBIOTICS AT THIS TIME. HE WILL BE THERE TONIGHT AND POSSIBLY TOMORROW NIGHT TOO. BECAUSE OF YOUR GENEROSITY IN DONATIONS, DR. MARIA HAS CAPPED THE AMOUNT OF DONATIONS AT $700 SHE HAS RECEIVED AT THIS TIME. 2-10-22 Lexie - hit by car, broken leg
Hi I have a 1 yr old puppy who was hit by a car. We think her leg is broken and I can't afford her vet care at this time. I have $0 income at the moment as I wait on disability. I was wondering if y'all can help? Update: She's alert and wants to move but we are keeping her still. She has stopped drooling excessively. She has: -a bad cut under her chin, -a small cut on her back right leg, -top of her muzzle is swollen, -we suspect that in her armpit area the front left leg has a clean break (like 99% sure), -her front left dew claw is just gone, This could have been so much worse. We are so lucky the worst part is her leg. Jer said it was a black car and that he heard a thud and then the engine rev as they sped off.

2-10-22 Bobby - tail degloved
Bobby has been walking around with an extremely painful condition. We don’t know how it happened but his tail had been completely degloved, and it had been that way for at least a few weeks. We heard about his case and got to work! We went and were able to trap him so that we could take him straight to the vet. It was decided that he needed a full amputation of his tail as well as pain medication to help manage his discomfort. Once he is doing a bit better, he will also need to be neutered and vaccinated so that we can get him ready to go into his forever home! We are so glad that he is no longer alone on the streets in pain, but he is now with us receiving the love and care that he has not been able to experience for goodness knows how long. We know that everything we are doing now is just setting him up for success! But the surgery is going to cost about $1,000

2-11-22 Neptune - blocked kitty
PLEASE HELP! My name is lola ali and I am a volunteer with the spca and I manage a cat colony. My best friend, Christy Brigitte Darlington, adopted a cat from the spca Petsmart program. His name is neptune. He loves Neptune so much. Neptune fell very sick so he went to the vet Tuesday at Dallas Animal Urgent Care and saw Dr Katy Waite. She said Neptune had a urethral blockage and his numbers were off the charts and he needed a catheter. My friend is currently not working and I paid most of the vet bill for him out of pocket which was a little under 900. He then needed to be transferred to VEG group on central expressway and met with many doctors, they said neptune needed to be there for 48 hrs and it was 2200 dollars. We started a go fund me and I paid out of pocket again. Today they said they took the catheter out and neptune tanked, he got bad quick so they said it would be 1300 to out the catheter back in and one more night which I paid out of pocket , and tomorrow at 8am he need to have an emergency PU surgery to save his life. I don’t have anymore money and we only have 600 on the go fund me. All the vets at the VEG has shared it, they all love neptune. There will also be after care back at VEG and they are so sounding it to 325 a night which hopefully won’t be many. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP AT ALL???? Here are photos of Neptune at the vet.

2-14-21 Reggie - injured feral cat
Long story short, he’s a feral that has been in and around my neighborhood since April/May(?). He slowly started gaining my trust to let me barely pet him when food was involved. He came to my house completely beat up two days ago and I FINALLY successfully trapped him (he was probably too tired to fight me anyways). I am trying to cover the costs that I can and see if anyone can foster or if a rescue can take him in. Please don’t ask me to keep him, I am already maxed out on my limit of pets allowed at my place and I have my toddler to care for as well. I just couldn’t let this poor baby be left untreated and in pain 😢 I will post the bill of charges in the comments.

2-15-22 Lucky - another blocked kitty
Hi my kitty is very sick . We traveled to Dallas from LA two weeks ago and he started to act weird last Friday . He started to pee himself, no eating and throwing up . I am in the vet now . They said he is blocked and he is possibly have kidney failure. I am waiting for a blood work now but I am not able to hospitalize him or unblocked him . I been told it will be at least 2 000$:( I live him dearly but I just moved to a new city with nobody here. I simply cannot afford it. **Update**. I did blood work and yes he is going through kidney failure and his potassium are high . I just gave him some Prazosin and pain killers and the vet gave him something too, the next 24 will be crucial . If he starts peeing there is hope if not unblocking and emergency care is the only option but I cannot afford it . I am a single mother with small child , two other cats and 2 dogs . I simply cannot afford this 😞 the emergency care for two days will be at least 3,000$ **UPDTE** Lucky is at vet . That was last moment. They are treating him now, but I still need lots of help. I got approved for care credit, but that will not be enough. Please help If you can ! I beg you . I can send the vet info if requested . Thank you all for caring .Update I am taking the cat to the emergency now , please help !!! I will post the vet address as soon as I get there . My cat is crashing . 2-24-26 Pixie - very very ill kitty
Pixie is in very poor condition but we are trying to give her a chance. She was picked up by a friend that helps us with TNR. Although we are honored to care for her we do not have the resources she needs for care. We are collecting pledges to help with her medical care. The pledges will go with Pixie to the rescue that takes over her care, preferably a rescue experienced with FIV+ and disabled cats. She is estimated 10 years old, FIV+, dental issues, URI, possible pneumonia, some neurological symptoms (she is a little wobbly, might have impaired vision, incontinent). She has some fight left! She has a great appetite and likes to lay in her comfy bed. Pixie was abandoned by her caretaker at an emergency vet. She is in poor condition and we have considered euthanasia. She is still fighting so we don't want to give up on her.

2-24-22 Wren - sick kitty
Yellow Brick Road Rescue NJ, Inc. is asking for donations.
🆘 DONATIONS URGENTLY NEEDED FOR WREN!🆘 we cannot intake anymore kittens or cats unless we have donations. And we all know kitten season is coming. Wrens bill is a large one and we have no funds! We rescued wren off the cold wintery streets about 2 months ago. Since then she has been indoors and warm. She was spayed, vetted and healthy ever since.
Last night we noticed she was walking strange, had indented hips and would not eat. She was also hiding in weird places which is not like her since she is super social. We rushed her to blue pearl where they admitted her. She has a high fever and muscle wasting on her back end. As of today her bloodwork was relatively normal minus elevated white blood count. She has an enlarged spleen and lymph nodes. They are doing a spleen aspiration and infectious disease testing. As of now her illness is still a mystery! Please consider donating to this sweet girl.
