6-5-18 Preston - dog attack
This is Preston who is a sweet little 5 pound boy! He came to us yesterday after a local shelter sent out a plea for immediate rescue due to his injuries. He was attacked by two dogs and then surrendered to the shelter by his owner. We took him to the ER last night to get him some pain medicine. He has a puncture wound on his chest and a fractured leg. We have him at our Vet this morning getting his eye removed. They are unable to salvage it and it required immediate removal. Please consider donating if you can. Every donation helps ❤ (HOME Rescue is a 501c3)

6-1-18 Oliver - diaphramatic Hernia
Friends, I got this plea and we only have $200 in our account. This woman and her mother are both on Social Security and have no money. At this point, I am just looking for PLEDGES because if we do not raise enough and QUICKLY the poor cat will die. The estimate is between $1100 and $1500. I don't know if we can do it, but lets try. Please ask everyone everywhere. IF we get up to $1,000 then all pledges will need to be sent immediately to us at: thedollarclub@yahoo.com EVEN $1.00 from 100 people will help. ALSO please respond/interact with this post so more people will see it in their newsfeed!!
(Photos below, including surgery estimate from Long Animal Hospital, 2523 South Boulevard, Charlotte NC]
Oliver — a stray cat I’ve brought into my mother’s home — desperately needs your help! The vet thinks he was hit by a car because of the diaphragmatic hernia that is causing him constant breathing difficulties and pain. With the use of only 10% of his diaphragm, his suffering will end in death if he does not get the surgery he needs. I maxed out my care credit card in May to pay for diagnostics and treatment of wounds this poor cat received from what appears to be an attack from another cat (see photo). As my 97-year old mother and I survive only on our social security income, we are unable to pay for Oliver’s surgery.

6-7-18 Woodstock - luxating patellas
Woodstock is the little dog that I found on the street and his hair was just terribly matted and in big balls and he had flea dirt all over him and he was dehydrated and emaciated. And the last visit to the vet he was diagnosed with luxating patellas one is a grade 4 in the other a grade 3 and he's in a lot of pain from that and need surgery as soon as possible. I managed to have the money to get him heartworm tested and get his shots and dewormed and everything but do not have the funds to get him to surgery for his knees to keep him from being in excruciating pain.
The vet gave me an estimate of $1,200. Thank you for any consideration and helping Woodstock be pain-free and more mobile. The vet has agreed to give me a huge discount to have this done. (Not a 501c3)
**NOTE** normally, we do not cover this type of surgery, however, this is the woman who put aside her own dog emergency to help out with Oliver the kitty with the diaphramatic hernia since that was a more dire emergency

6-13-18 Three poisoned dogs
A woman came home to find her 3 dogs vomiting massive amounts of blood and are very lethargic. She has no money for vet care so Yaqui Animal Rescue is taking them under their wing for vet care. They are at the emergency vet now receiving care. They suspect poisoning by their neighbor. Once this is confirmed, they will be going to the police (Yaqui Animal Rescue is a 501c3)

6-28-18 Survivor - kitten with leg torn off
If ever there was a little guy who needed our help – Survivor is it! We were contacted about this little guy earlier this week and it took us until last night to trap him. (HERE WE HAVE YET ANOTHER YOUNG KITTEN WITH A BODY PART RIPPED OFF. THIS TIME, THE BODY PART IS A WHOLE LEG. WE DO NOT KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED OR HOW THIS BOY IS STILL ALIVE AS IT'S WOUND IS CLEARLY INFECTED. SMELLS HORRID. BUT OBVIOUSLY HE HAS A WILL TO LIVE AS LONG AS THIS BABY FIGHTS WE WILL FIGHT. HE WILL BE SEEING OUR VET ASAP. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TOWARDS HIS CARE AND SEND THIS BABY SWEET THOUGHTS FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY).
He has been out on his own in pain and losing blood for a while now. This little guy has incredible will and isn’t giving up. We can’t give up on him when he has fought this hard to live. We were hoping to do surgery on him today to amputate what’s left of his leg but are unable to do that without getting him a blood transfusion first. His PVC count is only at 16 percent so he is severely anemic from all the blood loss. He has to have a boost to make it through surgery tomorrow. They are putting a catheter in today as his little organ was also severely damaged. There will be an additional surgery to deal with that trauma once the leg is dealt with. Please consider making a donation to save Survivor’s life and share his post. He also needs all the positive thoughts and prayers he can get.
