3-4-23 Norman - stray needs surgery for broken leg
About a week ago, we responded to a post of a cat that didn't look good at all..😢 He was emaciated..limping..dirty and drooling constantly. He appeared to be a senior cat 🐈 in big distress. We immediately offered to help trap him, fearing that he might die . It took a few days to manage to get him. There are too many feeders and unknown hours. We kept going back, hoping for the best. We named him NORMAN. He is with us 💙 now safe, and we are doing everything we can to put him back together. He is about 10 years old and scared, but friendly . When he was young, he was someone's 🐈 cat.. probably abandoned on the street for the past 5..6 years, according to the feeder. We went to emergency dental surgery, extracting 13 total teeth 😢. He has no teeth left at this point. He has a severe URI, and the worst is that his right front leg is broken badly 😢. He is going to need reconstructive orthopedic surgery. His medical bills will probably exceed 4000$. We have multiple surgeries coming down the road for previous rescues. Our funds for NORMAN are zero 00at this point. We feared that NORMAN would be another costly case, but we had to go get him. What is the point of all of us calling and pleading to rescue a sick injured cat if we can not contribute financially to bring them back to life. We really need all of you this time for NORMAN. Euthanasia would have been the easy way out and still get praised for ending the suffering 💔. But NORMAN is a fighter and wants to live. He is counting on all of us.

3-6-23 Farm Sanctuary needs help to stay open
I posted this the other day. Well since we cannot donate money directly (unless it is to a vet office) they did send me an amazon wish list. So we are making this a new feature for the day. I did order some items and you can either hep out by sending more or by donating cash that we can't do. They really need help to stay open. If you prefer to donate through us, we can order more product.
The rain and snow has gone away...so come visit us! We managed to survive recent wildfires and the pandemic, but inflation is hitting us hard, with feed and vet bills up 23-57%! 3-7-23 Cats & Dogs need food
I was referred toorganization because I'm struggling to feed my animals I have never reached out for help before I have three cats honey smoke and buttons and a dog named bear I cannot feed my animals at this time do a true serious car action accident and injury I've been put out of work I'm completely out of cat litter and cat food and dog food I'm scraping things from my kitchen to feed them I don't know what the guy lines are but can you please tell me what I have to do in order to get some help with food I would be more than grateful I can provide any type of documentation. Cats are crying all the time and the one keeps trying to lock the door I've always taken a good care of my animals or my babies are my life I am a single woman and my companions this is going to be a short time I have dirt in my litter box it's completely embarrassing and I don't know what to do. Disabled and I cannot pick it up I have a terrible knee injury from a car accident I can barely move is it a possibility to have it sent to the house please.

3-7-23 Jack - was attacked by another stray dog
We have an emergency situation with a rescue dog that was attacked by another dog that jumped the fence and got into his yard. His adopter brought him to the vet yesterday. He has internal injuries and necrotic tissue that needs to be treated. His adopted dad paid the bill of $800 for what was done but the treatment plan estimate is $3k-$5k at the ER vet they went to (the only place open at the time). He couldn't afford that and took Jack home with antibiotics and pain meds. They'll be taking him to our vet in the morning which will be much cheaper (plus we get a discount).
Is there any way that your organization can help? **UPDATE** Jack needs some help 🙁 he's in very bad shape. Jack was attacked in his own yard by another dog. His blood isn't clotting and his white blood count is very low. Jack is at our vet office now and being treated; he was admitted for in-patient care. Jack will be receiving frozen blood platelets today and a blood transfusion from donor blood (hopefully) tomorrow to get him stabilized, then he will need surgery to clean and debris his wounds. Drainage tubes will be put in to drain the fluid that is accumulating in his chest. Please keep Jack in your prayers. The next few days are critical and we need him to improve.

3-10-23 Balto - stray cat needs ER
One By One Animal Advocates is asking for donations.
Late last night a girl reached out to One by One from the ER. She had found a cat lying motionless at the edge of her driveway, and his head was huge. She speculated he had been beaten or hit by a car. The Good Samaritan named him Balto, and he’s a sick boy. He was lying motionless because he had given up. His head was swollen from an abscess so severe the ER vet had to sedate, cut, and drain it. His white cell count indicating infection was 4x what it should be. He is anemic, FIV+, and 10 years old. These are the cats who get to me. The ones who have no one. The ones who would die a lonely prolonged death on the street, and I am thankful someone cared enough to pick him up. Balto is your average WV tabby cat. There is nothing special about his looks or compelling about his picture, but he deserves to live. He deserves love. Can you help us give that to him?

3-11-23 Puppies/Mama needs food
I was asked to help with food for a mother dog and her puppies. As you know, we require all pets to be spayed/neutered if we are going to help. But obviously, that cannot happen right now. The mother dog is not strong enough to feed the babies because they have no food for her. This is actually a neighbor of the person we assisted with in Camden, NJ. She agreed to share some of her dog food with this neighbor until I could get some sent. So, food should be arriving today.

3-14-23 Dezi Stray cat kicked and broke pelvis
Neighbors in an apartment community kept threatening to violently hurt the cats and their feeder. They were tired of the cats sleeping on the stairs. He was found beside the stairs of this aggressive neighbor, as if he had been tossed off the edge. We can't imagine what he's endured or how hard he must have been kicked, but he's getting the help he needs thanks to @barriodogsinc helping cover the costs. His pelvis is fractured on his right side from being kicked, HARD. NEDERLAND VET estimate is $2,500 - $2,800 and he would go in today. Desperately need to raise the funds. Please share. Barrio dogs is helping with everything but they do not have the funds for this. They get a 10% rescue discount but I have to get the funds raised to get him in, or at least closer to it.

Still in need of help. The kitties are always hungry. Ok cat lovers and friends, I am in desperate need of help. I rescue feral, stray, and abandoned cats from the streets and I currently have 26 living in my house and still feed in 3 places outside around my little community. I am not a shelter or rescue that receives funding or donations to help me with the costs. Everything I do comes out of my very empty pocket. After 4 vet visits last month and the rise in prices, I find myself struggling to provide the everyday necessities for the cats. Asking for help is never easy but sometimes you have to swallow your pride and do what's best for the cats, so here I am. I am not only asking for, but begging for help. If you could find it in your heart to help me out I would be eternally grateful. 3-21-23 Cats about to be homeless
I NEED URGENT HELP!! I am living in a motel with my cats, but I’m currently about to be kicked out so we’re not gonna have any place to go and my cats don’t deserve to be on the street with me. I don’t even have any money for cat food right now. I need help immediately. I will have help on Wednesday but I can’t pay for my room or food tonight and tomorrow. 3-23-23 Dolly - stray needs amputation
#7 This poor little fella is going to need his leg Amputated. I saw him on camera last night. Limping I can't look him over too Good but it looks like his leg is going to have to go 😭. Thank God I got him. This world is so rotten and cruel. I don't know how much longer I can do this. I am absolutely heartbroken looking at the condition of this poor cat I just trapped. I noticed while I was watching the videos of him last night he wasn't walking on his back right leg. Although I haven't tried to handle him, I can see that it is a mess and he will more than likely need an amputation. I don't know how people can sleep at night. I am so sick of this rotten cruel world.

Forgotten Felines of Corbin, KY INC. is asking for donations. We have started a local TNR case. The women reached out with this story. “I need help. My husband of 40 years didn't make it off the respiratory. He loved dogs and cats. He left me with 34 dogs and I was able to find homes for all but 4 dogs. There are over 30 cats when he passed and 50 by now. Most are wild. There are 4 different locations that I feed them on my farm. I can't do it anymore. They are having kittens and it is costing me over 600 dollars a month to feed them. My money has been cut in half when I lost my husband. I'm running out of things to sell to feed them. I love them all and I don't know what to do to save them. Can you give me some advice. My husband and I had no children to ask for help. It's just me. I need help please.” We have taken in some cats and started spay/neuter as well. We cannot take them all, and some are even feral so she has agreed to keep caring for what we can’t take in. However she is desperately in need of food donations, and fixing the cats is going to cost a huge chunk.
