5-11-18 Mastitis Kitty
Most of you know about my health problems. Some of you might remember I've been hospitalized 4 times, and had 1 surgery, in less than 2 years. My husband, Earl, has been hospitalized twice, with 1 surgery himself in the past 2 years.
Most of you also know, we feed over 20 cats every day. Now, even the kittens are eating 2 cans a day. My cat food is almost gone, and we have no money. At all. I'm not sure how we'll keep rent or elec paid, but what I'm worried about is the cats. Ginger, my polydactyl ginger mommy (the babies are 4 weeks old tomorrow) has a milk duct blocked. This just started today. She won't feed the babies, or let anyone touch her. Idk what to do. She's looking at a horrible death.
So, I'm coming here to ask for your help. At least to help my babies. I asked Chewy if they had a wish list, but they don't. So all I can say is that we use 9 lives cans, Whiskas dry (really we'll use any dry except Meow Mix or Purina), and the Frisco litter. I'll attach a picture of that. If anyone is willing to help, pm me for my address, and I'll give it to you. But what I'm facing is watching Ginger die a slow, agonizing death. They are my babies. I'm sorry to have to ask this. It's embarrassing. I wouldn't ask if it weren't for them. I'm sorry to have to ask. **UPDATE** we raised enough to get her to the vet and mail some food, and HOPEFULLY enough to get her spayed

5-5-18 Kitty needing leg amputation
Carson Cats URGENT!!! Carson Shelter!! KITTIE'S BONE STICKING OUT - FUNDS NEEDED If you can donate towards her surgery and recovery (around $1500), please go to https://www.paypal.me/carsoncats or go to our website at http://www.carsoncats.com/#!donate/ctzx. All donations are tax deductible!
Wings came into the shelter as a stray where she was found limping on the side of a road. The shelter volunteers named her "Wings" because her grey patches on her back make "wings". She is special as she was born with a 4th leg that just has a stub (thus her limping). Her stub has gotten infected from it dragging on the ground to the point where her bone is sticking out. She screams in pain. She needs to get it amputated so she will not got through this again. The vet estimates the surgery and recovery time to be around $1500. We are desperate for funds to help her get the surgery she needs. She will also need a foster to help her recover - just a quiet small room/cage and a weekly trip to the vet to change her bandages. Carson Cats is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization - Federal Tax ID 46-4828084. All donations are tax deductible. We thank you for your support!

5-4-18 Cat with Stomatitis
I received a call from a woman last night by the name of karla. Karla doesn't have a ton of money but she had saved to adopt a cat from a local rescue. She had paid almost 100 dollars, and honestly when I understood her finances, I understood what a feat that was. She was in tears bordering hysterical. The cat had stomatitis. She did not know , the rescue did not disclose or did not know themselves. She had taken all of her extra money to take the cat to her vet and get a rabies shot and find out why she was not eating. Upon diagnosis the vet told her the cat needed steroid shot and teeth removed and pain meds. She did not have the money for a steroid shot and pain meds so she was dismissed and wished luck and given a paper stating the cats diagnosis. Which led her to me as most rescues do not take health problems. Since the original vet chose not to give options, we are going to have the work done at our vet in Pine Grove.
Donations can be called in for Karla's cat under wanna be pet rescue.to 570-345-0880

5-18-18 Charlie needs full mouth extraction
Charlie was abandoned by someone behind an apartment building in east Toronto. None of the residents knew who he belonged to or where he came from. He would hide in the bushes or under parked cars. Immediately we knew there was something different about Charlie. He's a CH kitty. CH stands for cerebellar hypoplasia which is very similar to cerebral palsy in humans. Charlie is one of the lucky ones in that he is only mildly affected. You see a difference in his walk and when he gets excited or upset the head tremors get worse. But he copes very well. Charlie also has a heart murmur and at his recent vet appointment it was determined that his teeth are in terrible shape and he is in need of a full mouth extraction. The vet has provided us with an estimate of $1100 which includes the pre-surgery bloodwork and post surgery meds. Please help us to see that Charlie gets the care he very much needs. His surgery has been scheduled for Thursday May 31st. Thank you, Caron. Fenominal Feral Felines is located in Canada and therefore not a 501c3

5-31-18 - Bailey, dog hit by car
Update: Bailey's hip is broken. He can have surgery but it's not needed according to dr. his hip will heal on his own. He will get cream for his wounds and pain killers.
Everyone this is Bailey. He escaped his yard last night and was hit by a car and suffered several injuries. The finder was taking him to Pet 911 but on the way we located his owners. Zeuzette met them at the ER vet but with little money could only afford to get him an exam and pain meds. She applied for Care Credit but was denied. We have offered to help her out as she loves her dog dearly. She is on the way back to the ER with him to get the x-rays he needs to find out how badly he is injured. We are asking if anyone wants to donate to help Bailey please call the vet. They will take donations over the phone. Please also send positive thoughts and prayers for this sweet boy. (HOME Rescue)
