10-01-20 Raymond - kitty need a dental ASAP
I know this is a bad time for everyone and I hate to even ask. I am raising money for my sister's kitty who needs surgery this week for an abscess and 3 bad teeth to be removed. The estimate is 775.00. He is FIV positive and in a lot of pain. His face and eyes are swollen and he is unable to eat. He was given a shot 2 days ago to control the pain, but it only last for 48 hrs. She has tentatively scheduled his surgery for Friday. If you can contribute, it would be a blessing. She is on a low fixed income.

10-02-20 Nutmeg kitten with breathing problem
URGENT RECOMMENDATION NEEDED: One of my fosters, Nutmeg, is not doing well. I took him to the vet right now and they took an X-ray that revealed he has a lot of congestion in his lungs. They advised me to take him to a specialist right away or he will not make it. They referred me to VCA ASEC. Does anyone have experience with something like this? Symptoms:
Lethargic, No appetite, Rapid breathing, Severely dehydrated, Weight loss, Coughing/gagging.
**I offered $100 from TDC to get him to the hospital right away. The videos show him struggling to breath** They are at VCS now

10-04-20 A cat colony in desperate need
A woman located in Charlotte (near Rocky River Road) desperately needs help with over 25 cats. Her neighbor moved out and left 15 cats in a storage building with a big bag of food and a bucket of water. She heard them crying so she let them out and she started feeding them at her house. Several of them had kittens and now there are over 25. She does not have a job right now and her husband's work is sporadic So there's not enough money to get them spayed or feed all of them. They desperately need food and/or donations to cover their spay and neuter. Or a rescue or forever homes. They can be adopted or go to a rescue.
**UPDATE** 12 of the adult cats have been spayed and neutered And are in urgent need of rescue. 14 kittens still in urgent need of rescue And 2 kittens that are 3 months old. Donations needed for spay and neuter and donations need to help feed them any rescue Available to help with adoptions of the sweet babies there are 14 kittens between 4 and 6 months old and 2 kittens that are 3 months old
Adults one year to 2 and a 1/2 years. **UPDATE** TDC sent some food but they still need more

10-07-20 Keanu - kitten with pneumonia
Hello, my name is Ivy. I was wondering if you can help me spread the story of my sick cat. His name is Keanu, he is a seven month old who is diagnosed with pneumonia. He is currently in intense care in a ventilator. He is having trouble breathing and needs constant medication and care. Like many, I don't have the financial ability to pay for his medicare. Keanu is still strong and has a chance if I continue his planned hospitalization. I have made a gofundme page and am currently in the process of selling homemade halloween dog and cat treats to make up the money for his treatment. I'm struggling to pay by the day right now. I can't afford to pay for the the 3 days to a week they strongly recommended for his survival at the emergency vet. He needs 24hr watch with a breathing machine while taking his medication.

10-08-20 Nakoa needs reconstructive surgery on hind end
TriState Noah Project is asking for donations. Without surgery, our little fighter will not make it
In his few short months here, Nakoa has faced more challenges than most cats do their entire life. Some of you may remember our original post. Approximately a month ago we received a message about a kitten that was badly injured by a fan blade. It was in the country, no one had the money for an emergency vet for a stray and the woman who found him called her neighbor to come with his shot gun to “put him out of his misery”. The kitten looked so bad he was ready to shoot him but thankfully he reached out to us for one last option. Nakoa may be missing his entire back end but you wouldn’t know it by his personality. He is the sweetest, most affectionate kitten that craves attention. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him. He has been seen by Dr. Jaax 9x in the past month and underwent 3 surgeries. We have invested over $1400 so far in this boy. His injuries left him with an open rectum and uncontrollable bowels. We were fortunate enough to find an amazing foster, Coly M Kastner . She not only has to express him daily but clean out his bottom with a q tip every night. This little boy adores her and vice versa. Last week, per Dr. Jaax’s recommendation, he had a consult with a specialist at MedVet after he took a turn for the worse. Tomorrow Nakoa is going to MedVet to have a contrast cystourethrogram and rectal closure performed by Dr. Schwartz. Without this surgery he will not make it. We took on 4 emergency hospitalizations, including 2 surgeries for strays, over the weekend which we haven’t had the chance to post yet. We have taken on so many emergency cases we are thousands behind in medical bills. His surgery is estimated at $4000. We are working on fundraisers for him but with Covid restrictions our options are limited. We need at least half to put down tomorrow. Coly, his foster, has been incredible. Not only has she been fundraising but donated her tips from bartending this weekend raising $595. That leaves us with $3200 to raise. We are not giving up on him. All it takes is a lot of people doing a little and it will give us the funds for this life saving procedure.
Thank you for helping us give Nakoa a chance 🐾

10-09-20 Rocco - Stray cat who is very ill with breathing problems
Stray cat who is acting very ill and having great trouble breathing. FINALLY got him trapped and he is on his way to the vet. He didn't eat or drink anything overnight and he is in very rough shape. I fear Fip 😭. He has respiratory issues and his belly is swollen. His ears are a mess third eyelids are showing and his feet are bleeding. I wish he knew that his life is going to change for the better no matter how short or long it is. I do not know if he is feral or not I am letting him decompress. he did let me touch his head but then hissed and swatted at me. He doesn't seem to have any interest in food whatsoever 😭. Going to try to sneak him in for a vet appointment as an emergency. Please keep this beautiful boy in your prayers. And for god sakes if you see another pitiful soul like this, reach out and help you don't know how good my heart feels right now. You can make a difference ❤️ it takes a village. The two girls that trapped him and brought him to me are wonderful. They are very young and very involved in TNR. There is hope for the future.

10-12-20 Several cats need emergency vet help
With Love for the Animals is feeling heartbroken. We haven’t saved any crazy cases in a while due to lack of fosters and funding. Yesterday someone was looking for help for these very sick kitties and she offered to foster if a rescue could help. We have offered to help as much as we can by getting them to our vet and starting a fundraiser for them! Once they are healthy they will be looking for loving HOMES! No more streets for these kitties, look these at these faces! Can we pleaseeee raise the funds to be able to fully support these cats!? This life they are living is NOT FAIR! I will be meeting these “babies” once they make it to the vet but we need some help to get them there! Please please give up the coffee for just one day to help us help these cats!

Angels of Animals, Inc is asking for donations — at Verona and Montclair Animal Hospitals.
uotS2ponstorehd · Verona, NJ · Ok, everybody. We are going to put a graphic photo in the comments. We don't want to upset you, we just need you to see why we need YOUR help right now. This is Sylvester and he is in terrible shape. Lots of you may have seen his photos being shared throughout the rescue community yesterday, and we know there are some feelings about this guy, but we are going to ask you to focus on the here and now, which is this: his ear is missing, and he is bleeding. We need to raise funds for his care. He's been out there like this for a long time, but he's with us now and you all know we're going to give him everything we've got. Our team went out and trapped him today, and right now he's at Verona and Montclair Animal Hospitals for an emergency intake exam. Dr. Scriffignano and everyone at the hospital are making sure he receives the very best. Please help us with a donation for this sweet boy - every dollar makes a difference. 10-13-20 Piper - cat with red marks and lumps in mouth
I found her when she was maybe 10 weeks old. Starved to death weak with no energy. She wouldn't eat on her own she was so bad. I fed very by syringe until she gained strength to eat. She then recovered and has been a happy loving cat ever since. She is my baby.. however about a week ago I noticed she was trying to clean her face with her paw and when she rubbed her face she shook her head with pain. I noticed she had a red spot on her gum.. I'm not sure what this is I've been told either an ulcer or an Abcess.. well I noticed today that she has another spot on the same side and above her fang tooth. She is in pain and I cant stand seeing her like this. I've cried for days because I cant afford to take her to the vet right now with everything going on in life at the moment.. I feel so bad for her. I just dont know what to do. I have applied for credit care and was denied. Please if there is any way you can help me help my baby please let me know.

I'm on social security and I don't have a lot of my at this time. My local vet has no openings and suggested I take him to an emergency vet. 10-14-20 Cat colony in need of food
TriState Noah Project: We need your help to feed our homeless animals. Most know by now that our rescue was founded on our work with stray animals. We spend 5.5-6hrs everyday, without fail, caring for 250 + homeless and abandoned animals over 53 stops throughout the city. Just as vital as TNR (trap/neuter/release) is aftercare. Spaying and neutering is not enough. Stopping reproduction is important but equally life saving is providing food. So many of the homeless animals we care for were once pets and now abandoned and forced to survive on the streets. For most of our strays, the only guaranteed meal they get everyday is what we provide. We go through 40lbs of dry and 8 cases of wet food daily. This is a lot, especially for an all volunteer rescue. We have been buying food daily for the last few days but do not have the funds to continue with so many medical cases. We are thousands behind in medical and desperately need food sponsors. Working with strays is 100% overhead for our rescue. In addition to food, we provide medical treatment when needed. This guy below has been a fixture on our route for over 6yrs. He waits for us every morning on stop #17. He is one of 15 on his street. Our highest priority is Friskies shreds, Friskies pate and dry food (usually 9 lives or Kit and kaboodle). We need the mix of shreds and pate as some of our strays have stomatitis and other mouth issues making the pate easier for them to eat while others prefer shreds. We are attaching our amazon wish list but had difficulty adding basic shreds. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1HFFOS0EF7IHB?ref_=wl_share&fbclid=IwAR16BIUe31sDy0tOWG-dEdlw-jPEp90DdVum36-_Cg5-dlk0v7_oKeSQOlg

10-14-20 Crashing stray kitten
This actually started last night and is continuing today....
URGENT!!!! Please need help. I found a kitten by the park and it does not look to good. Very lethargic and making meow as if it is in pain. I tried to take her to the vet but was turned away because they needed $180 up front because of past experiences they’ve had. If anyone can please help with a rescue for this little girl because I can not afford the vet. If a rescue log take I can foster.
**UPDATE** the only vet open would not take payment over the phone but did agree to see him for free for the office visit only. **here is what they recommended we do, (x-rays & blood work) and of course we had to decline except the SQ fluids. it was all going to run just over $400, but I have nutri-cal. The kitten is less lethargic today but still acting very strange. not a playful kitty and meows sound sad. her tail is completely limp, but the vet last night said she can feel life in her tail. i was the foster care coordinator at the austin humane society for 3 years and am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to kittens, but this ones got me stumped. i need to take her to a vet ASAP. **UPDATE**hollywood cat and dog can see her firs thing tomorrow morning. it will be $35 for exam because we get rescue discount but we only on in-house, not on labs or blood work. he said blood work will be $155, and x rays will be $265. so assuming that’s everything they do tomorrow it will be $455 which is only little bit more than the place quoted us last night and actually in my city. They accept phone payments! We still need to raise some money but we’re on our way!

10-16-20 Marmalade - kitten needs heart surgery
Saving One Life is asking for donations. We need your help! Marmalade came to us from our TNR efforts. On Friday, she was diagnosed with a serious heart murmur. She was able to see Dr. Church since we had to hospitalize her at the emergency vet yesterday. The good news: her heart murmur is caused by a PDA which is operable and her chance of survival is strong. The bad news; her surgery is quite expensive. The surgery alone is estimated to be about $6k. Saving One Life is a NEVER kill rescue and we will fight for every animal in our care but we need your help - truthfully - your donations. In past 30 days, we have started treatment on two cats for FIP, have one currently doing FIP treatment, done 12 major dentals (normally we don't do 12 a year) a whole host of other unexpected and costly treatments so there's just a limit as to what we can "budget" for. Please - donate. Every dollar goes a long way. Share with your friends. Talk about why you believe in our mission. Ask for donations in lieu of birthday gifts. We'll take any and all support we can get because Marmalade came to us for a reason and we need to save her life. **UPDATE** She just updated that the vet is saying sweet little M may not make it through the weekend, she is $3,722 away from the surgery cost. If you are able to donate at all, please please do! This is my sweet rescue kitten Marmalade. She is 9 weeks old and desperately needs open heart surgery. She has a sister, Meadow, who is really missing her. Meadow is protective and must have known Marmalade needed help. Meadow was always in close proximity and very protective. Marmalade is at the vet ER since Monday and has only a few days to get surgery before it’s too late. She had a sweet personality and her eyes tell she’s an old soul. Surgery is tentatively scheduled for Friday, pending is raising the funds since surgery costs have to be paid upfront. Life is hard, the world can be scary, especially this year. We can’t solve all the worlds problems today, but we can make a difference for this sweet baby kitten who has so much love to share. Her sister Meadow and I appreciate any amount you can donate!

10-29-20 Domino - cryptococcus
At the beginning of September, my recently adopted cat Domino became very sick with pneumonia. He was very lethargic but I was hoping it was just a matter of time until the medications kicked in. While in treatment with my regular vet, he started to have small seizures and they advised I would seek help with a neurologist. Domino saw Dr. Dugas at Blue Pearl Neurology and she diagnosed him idiopathic epilepsy and recommended an MRI and lots of other tests that would cost a fortune. I started on Phenobarbitals but his seizures continued…
I came across an organization called The Trevor Foundation who was more than happy to schedule an appointment with their vet to try and get more information. After a change in medication and 2 more weeks of very little change, Dr Jacobo decided to run a PCR panel to figure out if there was any potential source for these seizures and bingo ! ….Domino ended up testing positive for Cryptococcus which is very resilient fungus that typically lodges in nasal cavities but can migrate to the brain….we finally had an answer ! In order to give Domino the best chance of recovery, he needs to be on a combination of a strong antifungal ( Fluconazole) and start injections of Amphotericin which are $100 each….he needs 20 !!!!!
Needless to say, I am in desperate of help to be able to get this treatment done. I am still trying to pay off his original bill with the specialist which was $800 and I added another $1000 between tests, meds and various vet visits….and another $2000 is simply impossible for me to do at this time. I only work 6h per week right now and barely able to make ends meet at this time but I want to try and do what is best for Domino. Cryptococcus requires a very long treatment and I want to get started as soon as possible.

10-29-20 Kitten found with prolapse rectum
My husband found a stray cat yesterday evening with a rectal prolaspe. We brought him in to get him out of the cold but we dont have the money to get him taken care of. Ok friends and family. We talked to our vet in regards to "midnight"( the kids named him). Its going to be $220-$250 for him to be seen, meds, and surgery. We cant let this sweet boy suffer😭😭😭. If anyone can help, even if its just $5 we would be forever grateful. You can even call it straight to the vets office. The kids are beside their self and im a mess myself. I cant stand to see an animal suffer, especially due to neglect people.

Just tonight my friend that lives around the corner brought him home so he was gone for a total of 3 nights. Im afraid he's been hit by a car!! He cant walk and I can tell that his back left hip looks out of place, he's hurting & I feel awful- I'm hysterical. I'm behind on my rent as it is. I have literally $0 for a vet visit. 10-31-20 Yoshi - Stray kitten hit by car
Cat injured/ possibly hit by car in Vernon , any rescues that can help? Currently at a warehouse.
**This baby is going to be on its way to Tony Smith vet shortly. We will post an update and info for donations shortly 🙏🏻** ** Yoshi as we are calling him needs surgery, donations needed. YOSHI was found by a Good Samaritan and I immediately agreed to assume immediate care of him. currently at vet in poor but stable condition with hernia in groin area and rectal protrusion he wasn’t eating or using restroom but he’s so sweet in one day of stabilizing him at vet he’s no longer hissy , funds will cover surgery and additional X-ray if needed , first set waived , flea treatment since he’s flea infested , hospital over care treatment including IV , pain meds , mite treatment , more treatment if needed pic aren’t that clear but notice the protrusion of a golf ball size hernia where my hand is and palpitations and X-ray showed intestines so this is major surgery for a tiny kitten we need lots of prayers.

10-31-20 Vader - dog with pancreatitis
I took Vader to the vet today cause he was throwing up early this morning. From 5a.m. to about 7a.m., he was vomiting a lot, had some diarrhea, drooling real bad, and just seemed out of it. He was wobbly and slow to react. His vomit was chucky, just clear bile, and some of it was pink. I took him to the vet and was told he has pancreatitis. They need to get him started on so IV fluids and antibiotics as quickly as they can. They started him on treatment already and its gonna be somewhere around the $300 mark, maybe more, just for today. I'll have to go pick him up tonight and take him to another Banfield in the morning to continue fluid therapy. Thatll be around $150, if hes doing better. If he doesnt start turning around and doesnt get better, then they will have to give him more fluids and the cost will rise exponentially. I set this goal just as a safety net to help cover any extra needs, like meds, more fluids, or even an overnight stay if it comes to that. In case anything else sneaks up on us and requires us to pay more, we will have it. Any money that doesnt go towards his treatment will go towards www.thedollarclub.org/, a non-profit dedicated to helping pay for emergency vet care for dogs and cats in need. I will share proof of the donation if it comes to that, and will upload a picture of his bill as proof that hes been to Banfield I wouldnt be asking for money if I had the money to cover his bill, but I'm in need of some financial help. Vader is my best friend, and I'm afraid if I cant pay for his vet bill then his condition will get worse. I already lost my dear Entei to something similar to this years ago because I didnt have the funds to pay for a treatment. I'll be absolutely devastated if the same thing happens to Vader. I cannot let it happen. Please. Anything you can spare will help. If you cant donate then please pass it along and try to get the word out. If you cant donate to Vader then please think about donating to The Dollar Club to help other pets in need, and spread the word. Thank you and have a safe Halloween.
